What is a Bargello Quilt?
A Bargello Quilt is based on a needlepoint technique. Needlepoint Bargello is worked with yarns over five holes of canvas. The yarns are stitched in such a way that they move across the canvas going up and down in half steps. The stitched areas are thick (four canvas holes wide) and thin (one canvas hole wide) to create the feeling of movement.
Learn the basic construction of this flowing, striking and simple quilt. Billie takes you step by step through the process. Once you master the basic concepts you can try the more difficult layouts.
